Steel billet vs cast camshaft.Could we use a billet cam in our stock motor and would it be longer lasting? The look of the billet is so much better than the cast one. Is this a cost issue or something else? I know of the bronze dist gear.  Hans. ------------------

Not legal in NHRA for stock eliminator with a flat tappet cam Hans.  ------------------

in 25 years or so never had a problem with a cast cam shaft------------------

Stock eliminator camshafts have very radical profiles with lobes that are almost square. They are very hard on lifters and must be broken in carefully. I have not had many cams go flat either, but I have had a few. (1 or 2). None were ever stock eliminator cams though as I am very cautious on lifter choice. ------------------

Alex,we are about to put new lifters on our old cam. Do you feel that the break in has to be done all over again? Aside from shubeck lifters is there a difference in quality between the others? We have used comp cams high bleed and crane anti pump-up. Both seems to hold up fine. Thanks for all your help  .Do you sell parts to europe? Hans.------------------
