fox body 302 c-4 3700 stall. when i launch at 1800 rpm my 60ft times are eratic and the car bounces and un hooks, but if i launch at 2100rpm it launches smooth with more consistant 60ft times and about 1 tenth quicker 60ft. can you guys help explain this to me? thanks mike r---capri man

Mike, apparently you car is too stiff in the real as I have suggested before. By launching lower, you are not shocking the tires as hard and the car is responding. It would probably leave even better if you launched about 1000 to 1200 RPM. This would allow your converter to do most of the work it was designed to do and flash to it's highest stall flash point also. Until you are able to soften the rear a bit more this may be your only remedy. I'm still searching for that darned snubber. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

Mike, I agree with Alex, sounds like your pretty stiff in the rear. I don't know what kind of set up you have though. I leave a 5500 and shift at 7200. BTW Mike, where do you race in Goergia? Later, Russ
