Noticed you referred to SS Canadian CJ Mustangs at the SS Forum.

Educate me - what were these cars?

Thanks

They were higher compression 428 CJ's with better flowing heads sodium filled exhaust valves. The Canadian engines also did not require thermactor systems. They were built from 1968 to 1970.

COOL!

Why were we so lucky?

How can you tell if you have one of these?
Are they worth more for a stocker application
ie) are they class legal?

Fred, a traditional 428 CJ 'Mustang runs SS/F or SS/G. The Canadian head 428 runs SS/E in a '68 Mustang. I have a pic of such a car, and will post it here when I find it

They are indeed more valuble than a regular USA version CJ. The NHRA/IHRA rates the Canadian versions at 375 HP as opposed to the regular ones at 360 HP. With or without ram air.
