I went Christmas shopping at Home Depot, bought 2 plastic toolboxes and 2 each of several different "cheap" tools, pliers, tape measure, screwdrivers, flashlights, etc.. I think my 2 nephews (ages 7 and 9) will like having their OWN tool box. I even bought some stick on letters and put their names on them, don't want them fighting over them. Also got them some binoculars, that might keep them busy for about 5 minutes. ------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, Edelbrock Performer RPM package my photo page

I got my boy some Junior-sized tools and a build-it-yourself wooden toolbox. He's always wanting to help me when I've got a project going on. He usually wants to hold my 28oz. California framing hammer though. Quite a weapon in the hands of a 3 year old boy.

Well, at our Christmas party this past Saturday, my nephews hardly looked at the tool boxes, went straight for the nerf ball gun and foam dart gun. I spent about $70 on those boxes, my brother spent about $20 on the plastic guns. Oh well, I had a lot of fun buying that stuff anyway.

It depends on the kid. Last Christmas we gave my nephew a modern equivalent of a Handy Andy Tool set, and it might as well have been dog poop, it went over like a lead balloon. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

I guess they are a little young to appreciate tools. Maybe in a couple of years.------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 M&M #1091 67 stang 5 speed, 351W, Edelbrock Performer RPM package my photo page
