I have a 67 convertible, and I want to remove
the driver side fender, how many bolts
are there? any hidden ones? Where are they located? I see the obvious ones, but I don't want to warp my fender by trying to pull it off without removing one of the bolts.

Thanks

Rich

Well, the bolts at the top of the fender are easy to see. Then there is a bolt at the top of the door jamb above the door hinge. There are two at the rear bottom of the fender, a couple bolting the fender to the valance, and two behind the headlight.

Since I happened to do this exact job today, let me add you'll need to remember the antenna on the right fender, along with the headlight plug in.

If the previous owner of your car is the same type of idiot the PO of my car was, you'll only have to worry about half of the bolts; the rest will be missing...

Prior to removal, use a rust penetrant on the bolt on the bottom of fender at rear. The cage for the bolt is prone to coming lose. A PITA to repair.

I used to work with a guy like that. He NEVER put back all the hardware. You should of seen his bolt box! If you have a squeeky Buick/Cadillac in the southern Maine area, BLAME HIM, not me!
