Made in the USA, Lifetime warranty. They work much better than the Craftman locking pliers.

I just bought a bunch of new ones.

All the new Craftsman pliers suck, the Robogrip and the locking ones, they are in the junk box in my basement never to be used again. Channelock pliers and Vise grip locking pliers for me from now on.

It seems that the Craftsman tools overall have gone down in quality in recent years. I am a dealership mechanic, whoops, I mean automtive technician, & most of my tools at work are Snap On & Mac, but I have a fair bit of Craftsman tools in the home garage. My new Craftsman 5hp air compressor is very noisy, & my previous 1hp Speedaire unit (20 years old) appeared to have been of higher built quality. I recently took back a few broken sockets back to Sears, & the new ones just don`t look as good as the older ones. Some of the "Husky" brand tools at Home Depot, & the "Mastercraft" professional series tools from Canadian Tire seem to be of higher quality than those from Sears, & are priced comparably. For pliers, I have always prefered the real Vice Grip & Channel lock brands.

The only problem I ever had with Channelocks are that they have a tendency to walk away from my toolbox. I think I've bought three pairs of the 20" Channelocks.

But that problem's solved since the only people that go in my toolbox these days are Mike, Pam, and me.

Sears vice grips are like Swiss cheese style toilet paper. Husky tools seem pretty good. Anyone gotten a reconditioned ratsh*t from Sears on exchange??

No, is that what they give you now? My 3/8 ratchet has had it, and I was going to bring it in and demand a new one. It has too much slop even after putting their rebuild kit in it.

Looks like we're going to have a 'discussion.'
