I don't know if there is a cosmetic difference between the two years, but I do know that a 65/66 heater box will bolt in to the firewall of a 67/68, so it makes sense the delete plate would function the same.

I have the 65-6 heater delete firewall plate and it will wokr on 67-8. It was the same on Falcons. Would like to know if 67-8 had an actual heater delete plate. The radio delete is like a blacked out radio piece Branda sells the dash heater block off for 65-6. Have seen two 66's with heater delete and underdash AC. Both were factory.

I have an article around here some where on the heater delete option. There are many peices to it.It also requires a new vent assembly for the the right side.Probably a right hand version of the other side..
I am just hunting around to see what i can find, not even sure yet which car I will use it on.

I do have a mint a 69 black camera case radio delete plate here.

I actually have what you are looking for, it was in the trunk of my 68 coupe (in the original package) when I bought it. Do not know why it was there because the car has a factory radio in it. I sold the car awhile back but I am very sure that the radio delete plate is in my garage at home in Nanaimo. I will call my wife and see if she can find it, if she can it is yours for the price of shipping. Lots of people from M&M have helped me with parts for my 65 Fastback when I was doing the restoration and this is just a way to pay some of it back. As soon as I hear back from Cathy I will email you.

JohnMustang,

Just looked at your car. Very nice!

Reading my VIN plate I discovered my car was originally Wimbledon white and blue interior. Like yours but not the Pony interior.

Just last night I carried my original seats to the upholstery shop to have them recovered so goodby to the blue. A previous owner had painted them black anyhow. My car is just an old hot rod but it's fun. Your restoration looks great, you should be proud of it.

The heater delete vent is not like the left side at all. It has the same door as the heater. It is the same heater material and is round at the top and curves, becoming rectangular. The 68 Chassis assembly manual shows a pic of one that is called a Canadian issue. Why would Canadian cars have a delete heater?? On the 68 version, it is hinged at the top like the heater vent.

Cory: Unable to scan pic. Imagine this: It would look like your heater box only cut off at just to the left of the vent door to form a separate box. The top would be round to fit the vent opening. It is held on at the cowl by two "j" bolts that attach to the ring inside the cowl.
