Bret,
If you end up getting this car i assume that you are going to strip it for parts (like fenders from your other post) and will pobably have a hulk left over. Please contact me about what you want to dump as I need the back half of a 68 Coupe for a "SPECIAL" project I have been planning.
Thanks,
Gene

bret & bibbs68,
I need the car from the rear of the doors on to the back. I could get by with just the outer body skin but it would be nice to have it all so that I can pick and choose how much I want to use to make my Mustang Trailer. My conscience won't let me cut up an easily restoreable car, so, a piece of a car with no title (un-registerable) or a bad front end wreck would be suitable.Jeremy, are you making a trailer too? If you are I guess my idea isn't so original but I wanna do it anyway. If you want to swap ideas and plans, email me.
Gene

Gene, my idea is not a trailer per say. It will be a trailer but not to haul stuff in. I won't spill the beans just yet. I need about the same amount of the car but since you were first, have at it. I'm like you though. If the car is restorable I'd hate to hack it up. Of course the price, if it is restorable, would be too high to take a sawzall to it anyway.

Sounds like we both need a wreck. I had a '67 that was wrecked bad in the front and I thought the back would be salvagable but it wasn't.

Uh, no. But it would have something that goes along nicely with a drink or two.

You guys are killing me!! I've been thinking of the mustang trailer for YEARS and a grill since I saw one similar in a certain, ahem, movie, ahem.

Anyhow, I've been thinking of doing the same thing, only building a new frame to mount the axle and springs to, then hanging all new repo sheet metal on it. You can buy everything visible for under $400 and don't have to worry about ruining an original car. The big key is to design the new frame to optimize space to make either one functional enough to make it worth it.

Guess this could be its own thread...

So, did anybody here about the car or was it just a phantom post?

I did get some info and pics of the car but it didn't work out. They supposedly had an offer of $1300 and got offended at the offer I made them. I didn't need another project anyway.
