1986 MERCURY CAPRI 5.0. 5spd, p/w, p/dl a/c, am-fm cassete, p/s, p/b,tilt, cruise, rear defroster, power hatch. Med Canyon Red int. and ext. Original 50 year old owner, car has 22,000 miles. Many modifications, engine was redone and has less than 18,000 miles.Torn down to bare block. Brass freeze plugs and treaded oil galley plugs. Balanced and blue printed. Std bore and stroke. Crankshaft micro polished and oil holes champhered. All new cam, rod and main brgs, rings, oil pump, pistons fly cut for valve clearence,E7TE heads done by Kauffman, with 1.60/1.94 stainless valves, ported and polished. Comp cam retainers and 120lb springs. Screw in studs with Harland Sharp 1.60 roller rockers, hardened push rods with guide plate, pc seals. Rods resizes and Sps rod bolts. Comp cam 270/280 528 lift, 112 centerline. B&M gear drive. GT 40 intake polished to show quality. 65mm t/b, 77mm mass air. Chrome oil pan, valve covers, timing pointer, all alt., p/s and a/c brackets, a/c clutch, alt, and all pulleys. Chrome dip stick and tube, nickel plated FMS full length headers. Polished dist. All engine bolts chromed. A/c lines chromed. All hood latches, hinges, header panel brackets and fender bolts chromes. Custom made stainless steel under hood panel. T-5 trans with 1991 gear upgrade for 30% more strength. Bullit steel f/wheel, FMS heavy duty clutch with Hayes adj. cable. Hurst shifter with B&N lever. Scatter shield, driveshaft loop. Frame connectors, southside bars, 2.5" custom made polished exhaust with Walker Dyno Max mufflers. Tail pipes are flanged for easy removal, unbolt collectors and the system is off in 10 minutes. Extra long EGO sensors. Coverted to Mass Air with 89 Processor and off road Hyper Chip. FMS aluminum drive shaft polished to show quality. Chrome rear cover and bolts. Converted to 5 lug with 31 spline FMS axles, Auburn Pro posi unit and 4.10 FMS gears. 190 FMS fuel pump. Chrome gas tank straps. Chrome sway bars. Weld Pro Stars with M&H street licks. 84 Capri hood scoop. Original FLAWLESS paint. No paint work or body work, never hit. FMS tach, cowl mounted Auto Meter oil pressure and fuel pressure guages. Line lock. Car is better than showroom condition. Car has won Ford Motorsport National at Maple Grove 4 times, has won FPCA Expo in Columbus Ohio, Ford US Nationals in Columbus, and over 150 1st places at other show. Has won 8 Best Engine awards. Car has about 30 passes at track, ran consistent 12.86 @107mph with 1.65 60 ft times. I know there are things I forgot to mention but this is the CLEANEST, HIGHEST QUALITY CAR, AROUND.
