opinions, please, between having a 6 space instrument cluster (with tach and speedo in the cluster) vs. a 5 space cluster and a Shelby guage pod on the dash. The cost of a billet, 6 space cluster is outrageous !!!

also, I've noticed some of the clusters say they're for 2" gauges, others say for 2 and 1/16" gauges. If you find a gauge you like, is there much involved with getting that 1/16th of an inch taken out (filing, sanding, etc)

thanks in advance

Go for the 5-gauge cluster. There is a plastic molded gauge support available to fit it and to mount standard size AutoMeter gauges...CHEAPER than the billet 6-gauge units out there.

$71.78 for new inst. bezel & gauge support from C.J. Pony Parts & $254.49 for gauges from Summit.

honeyburst,

I have a suggestion for you for a company here in OHIO. They have several optoins. the 6 gage cluster with out the gages and even some brushed aluminum options including some plates that stick on to the stock 5 gage. I don't have the url here at work but I will post it later tonight when I get home. check it out. they have some nice stuff.

I myself still have not decided what I am going to do. I like the shelby pod but I have heard it is cheap looking.

Richard.

I wasn't going to respond since I have the expensive cluster in my car. I remember seeing this, so here you go, http://www.kanterperformance.com/html/65-66_mustang_bezels_w_gauges.html

download the pdf parts catalog for the restomod upgrade products. Some pretty nice cool stuff. Some expensive, some not. Worth a look at least.

If you can't download it email me and I will zip it and email it to you.

Enjoy.
