I thought I had this one down, but now I'm not sure. I recently got 4 GT caps from NPD. In the catalogue, it lumps repros and originals together. I got three like the one on the left - bright red - in boxes marked Made In Taiwan, and the one on the right - dark red, with a wider outer black band - in no box at all, not even wrapped.
I called NPD and asked if the darker one was original, and he told me that was impossible 'cos they only stock the Taiwanese repros. I told him I thought he was wrong and left it at that.
What do you think? Is the one at right original, or at least the original correct color?
Thanks as always,
Simon

I tend to agree with you, Simon.

I would guess the cap on the right to be the 'correct' cap too. I prefer the right cap over the left cap as well. Something that should be a simple "just snap 'em on" task, turns out to be another crazy issue to deal with..... Geeezzzz....

Good Luck!
Ryan

The ones on the left are too orange. The lone cap on the right looks right.

Looked at whats left of the paint on mine and it is the darker red. Just paint them the correct shade, thats what I'm going to/have to do.
