Need to take out front window in my 67 fastback. The repro rubber I got from Steeles is way to thin. Anyone know where to get original rubber if not who makes the best repro. Many thanks, I need to know ASAP!

Just had the glass replaced in my 68, talking to the guy tonight. Don't know the brand but I got it from Canadian Mustang - in B.C. I know they have a US division. The guy said the chrome trim was crap but the rubber was good.

NOW, with all that said, I would go straight to NPD and order it. (see my thread on repro parts).

Good luck,

Gregg

I always had good luck installing the windshield weatherstrip manufactured by Daniel Carpenter.

You can't go wrong with the Daniel Carpenter repro, and most parts suppliers carry that as an option.

Most NOS gaskets are getting "old" from shelflife, so there becomes less and less upside to installing them.

Our imported repro (cheapest option) is actually extremely good, as we have an exclusive source on it. Never had a single problem or return in over 15 years, tens of thousands sold.

But the Carpenter piece is the most popular, and people pay the extra for the peace of mind and made-in-u.s.a..

You live like 4 hours away from the Florida NPD warehouse, so if you order today it will likely be there tomorrow.

The Florida NPD is at 800-874-7595, the excellent import is part number 03110-1A and costs $12.95 , the daniel carpenter US made is part number 03110-1B and costs $21.95.

Daniel Carpenter doesn't have a website. A google search for "Daniel Carpenter reproduction mustang parts" has 19,700 hits, and lists 6 other suppliers besides NPD on the first page of hits.

All times are ET (US)
