Just as well, no way I could afford it.Went to see a fellow about painting my '66, I spot a 69 Mach1 in his garage. Cool! He takes me over and pops the hood. 428SCJ! (he said) The only way I know to identify a SCJ vs a CJ is the oil cooler up front. This car had that. He also said it had 4.30 gears if that helps. I only have his say so and the oil cooler I saw. '69 mach1s are not my specialty but, damn what a nice car! He wouldn't let me take a pic. White car with red stripe on the side. Hood scoop etc. It was mostly covered but I sure saw that font end. He pulled the cover back to open the hood. He also had a '73 and a '67 in there. His son has a MII King Cobra, they have anothe MIIKC out back waiting for resto/ He has a '66 'vert on his rotisserie, rotiisery, the thing that spins the body around ( ), and had just finished blasting it. I like this guy.............

So, did you get an answer on your car? Sounds like he's nothing but Mustang, so I'm sure he's the best man for the job.

Yeah, he has several of his own and has restoered, rebuilt many over the years. He has a shed full of parts. He's working on an estimate for me. While i was there, I took a close look at a '67 Firebird he rstored for a friend of his. Looks great. He had a complete set of photos of that resto. He said GMs are not his specialty but that car looked great. He understands I'm looking a good paint job and some body work for a driver. Hopefully, it'll be a price I can live with. I also have a few more shops to visit.
