Does anyone have any hint on how I can hook up the linkage between the carb and the pedal assembly, 68' 302 with holley 4010. Cant seem to find anything that will connect the ball on the carb linkage to the hole on the end of the pedal. thanks.------------------ Massachusetts Maritime Academy 2009 68 Mustang-302, Weiand & Holley 600, long tubes, flowmaster 40s "If it dont go, chrome it"

I've got a 69 throttle cable that I took off of my 302 2v. I used a Lokar cable for the throttle and kickdown.

Here's the ticket:http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2004/08/ThrottleLinkage/index.php This is how I connected my Autolite 4100 up and it was easy, cheap and beautiful. Thank Fastymz for posting it after he did his. The only hard part is coming up with the heim joint. I ordered mine at Summit but then found they were available at a local speed shop. The Summit part number is: SUM-MSF4

Take off the ball stud, put the stock linkage in the hole. Prior to this, drill a tiny hole in the end of the throttle rod so you can put a cotter pin thru it. A small washer between the cotter pin and the throttle linkage will be smoother and safer.

I've got the heim joint setup on my car and I love it. I've got the same thing planned if ever I install my cobra dual quad intake. I thought the "remove the ball stud" idea would be easier and faster for someone trying to get the project on the road. Done a bunch of them that way and it always seemed to work fine.

chandler, that link I put up does not require a membership. And I don't think that would help with the firewall issue. Send me a PM. I can hook you up.Chandler, you've got mail. [This message has been edited by sprcoop (edited 05-09-2006).]

If you're talking Home Depot, etc., forget it. I went to a local contractors hardware store and they had everything. The people at Home Depot and Lowes didn't know what a heim joint was.
