customer came in and offered me a car....
1965 coupe, 289 chrome valve cover (hi-po?), 4spd..........he wants $1500......said it runs and drives, but the quaters need to be replaced (rust).....
suggestions ??? this would break my saving account *g*

What's your welding and autobody abilities? Look a little deeper, if it needs quarters, it could need wheel wells, truck floor, and further forward floors. If you are going to have to pay for the repairs, YES! it will break your savings account. Darryl

I know the repairs will take a while (and some money)...I've restored a few before
just thinking about the initial purchase price....is a rough, running car (as described) worth the $1500 ???

For $1500.00 you couldn't possibly go wrong if it runs and drives.
Basket cases usually go for way more than that on ebay...

Hey great news. Good luck with her. Mine has been redone from stem to stern this winter and with all the resources out there and this place, it hasn't been too bad. Except that "double the price you expect" thing.............

That is not bad for $1500. Did I see the disc break badge on the break pedal? That is a nice thing to have. If you part it I get first dibs!!
