Hi. I'd like to know where do I make a hole through the floor for the evaporator drain hose to go through. Thanks.

Are you using an original evaporator? If so, it's easy to see where the hose enters the evaporator. Just head straight from there towards the floor panel (the 45-degree inclined part) and tunnel straight through.

What year? If it's a 65-66 there should be a dimple in the trans tunnel. If not then the 65 electrical assembly manual has a template. 4.5" right of the center line of the trans tunnel and 15/16" forward of the seam at the floor to firewall pans. Drill a 1" hole.

I can't remember why I know this, but you have a 67/8 right, Mike?

Put your Stang up on stands and check the forward part of your tranny tunnel for a hole already being there or the dimple where the hole should be drilled. Makes life easier. Don't try to drill through your carpet. That would be ugly quick.

Then it's straight down through the inclined floorboard. If you come on over to my shop in Sucat, I can show you. I have a 68 AC Cougar with the evaporator out at the moment.

Okay. I'll try to go there to see it. But if you have pics, that could help. Thanks so much.
