My 67 fastback is missing the pieces that hold down the rear floorboard down (for the fold down seats, the floorboard that the trunk trap door latches to). I have no idea what they look like. The brakets welded to the body are there, but the pieces that holds the floorboard to the welded brackets are missing. Any idea where I can get them?

Thanks Ed, pictures would be great. I can't find anyone who makes them, and there are very few fastback that anyone wants to part out.

I?m pretty sure that nobody makes them on the aftermarket seen. I actually had a complete floor pan that I sold to someone that had these brackets still on them. I?ll see what I can find but I can also take some pictures of my FB because I haven?t put the back seat and panels back in yet.

Hey guys! Yes, Ed did sent me some great pictures, as did Sam (thanks again guys!). I'm having trouble with my FTP server, so give me your email and I'll email you the bulk of them.
BTW, there is no bracket that the trapdoor latch latches to, the latch latches to the rear of the stationary fold down seat section. The only brackets welded to anything that you need to accomodate the fold down seat section are:
1) The 2 on the floor board that hold the BOTTOM of the seat to the car.
2) The 2 'straps' that hold the BACK of the seat to the car.
3) The 2 on the top of the inner wheel well housing that get a latch bolted to it, which in turn latches into the side of one of the fold down seat sections when the seat is in the 'up' position.
Did I completely confuse you now?
Don't worry, I was in the same boat as you until I learned from the picture these great guys on M&M sent me. Give me your email and I'll bounce them all to you.
Joel

O.K., I'm confused. I guess a really need the pictures. I'm looking for straps that hold the floorboard to the car. I would not call it a seat because it is always down on the floor whether the fold down seats are up or down. Email is [email protected]
Thanks

Looks good!

Larry,

Do you mean the thin metal straps that are on the underside of the rear fold down or floor cover piece?

I just revamped my fold down seat related articles. Not sure if Sam put the pictures into the one linked above. I made two of them for use with my ebay sales.

Larry, the straps you are looking for are in the second to last or last picture at the bottom.

FYI.

Yes, the last picture is what I needed. They are much smaller than I thought. I'll go search through my spare parts again, I may have them.
Thanks!

After reading this over a few times, that was what I was thinking.

Sam,

The trap door I put in my car has a molding at the top but there are no screw heads visible from the passenger compartment. Its smooth with studs protruding through the backside and there are nuts on there. Any idea of what year the trap door was from? Maybe I can get a picture of it later before the ice storm starts

Also the bracket on the trunk hinge, is it supposed to be bolted on or was if welded to the support?

Ed, the trap door you have is for a 67-68.

The close-up picture above is the bracket for mounting the rear folddown seat panel.

As far as the bracket (for the trap door prop rod) on the trunk hinge, I don't recall specifically. I don't have one in my car, and am more familiar with the 69-70 bracket. My dad took a picture of a 67 bracket for me and I need to incorporate that into my page as soon as I get it from him.
