After having a great run out of my Holley 750DP it is now playing up.
If the car sits for a while such as a few days without running, it starts up straight away and idles for a about a minute then dies. Fire it back up and it blows a huge amount of black smoke and will not idle unless you give it heaps. Then after about 30 seconds of this it idles smooth as.
What should I be looking at?
Thanks.

I would check float level first, Check the sight plugs on the side through a start up see if they are well adjusted. Junk may be stuck in the seat & needle mechanism in the bowl
