Order direct from Currie, they have the specs on every car to build your housing right. They can even ship it completely assembled and ready to install.
The housing in Thuds '67 came from them (why did I ever sell that car), it arrived a week after I ordered it.

After warping a couple 57-59 Ford housings, I finally ordered a new Currie unit. It was around $300, and is significantly heavier and stronger than the old 57-59 unit.

Yea i'm looking to get the 31 spline setup (minus the center) that they offer. i was curious if the brakes on my 8 inch rear will work on the currie housing ends.

I did call as well, very helpful by the way, Chris told me that they can make the housing for 831 beats summit price by a hundred bucks and they can do a small bearing on a 31 spline if available at the time....to keep my brakes on the back of the car. looks like this winter is going to be fun.

Something to consider, Currie offers several brake kits that fit the large bearing end, their brake kits are priced right too, 11 inch drums complete at $299, or several disc kits starting at about $350.
The housing I bought had the small ends which limited my brake choices, or at least the prices were higher to fit the small ends.
Just thought I would throw that out there FYI. I know it raises the cost up front but may be worth it in the long run.

The center section I used came from Randy's ring and pinion, (Alex's recommendation) it was several hundred dollars cheaper than Currie. Factory case, new 3.89 gear, new detroit locker shipped for $850.

thank you for the refernce to Randy's i'll have to look him up i've heard good things....the only reasone i was the small bearing is for my current drums i want the same housing ends so if i decide to go disk it will bolt up for a 65 and not be a hastle the front is still drum too....they work i'll keep em that way lol. thanks man
