Some time in 1968 Ford changed from a round base on the antenna to a rectangular base. Anybody know the date? All I know is that it was 1968 but Im not sure if it corresponds to the model year change.------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC Bla-Bla-Bla 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55

Page 86 of the new Mustang Monthly addreses this issue. Acording to Perkins all 68s should have a round base. The C8ZZ part is a service replacement part made in the 80s.

I havent read it yet but I guess it coincides with the model year change. I see early and late 1968 so I guess the late 68s would be the new 1969 models being built.------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC Bla-Bla-Bla 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55
