I'm in the process of rebuilding the 200 in my '66 fastback, and I have a question about the lifters. Got a cam kit with Sealed Power HT-2083 lifters, and one of them is different from the other 11. The OD, installed height (w/ pushrod) and oiling area is the same, but the body is slightly taller and the oiling hole is a little higher as well. Went to a local parts store to compare what they had, and it was the taller one. Anyone know if these lifters are interchangable? I can take some pictures if that would help. Thanks!!-Andy

Welcome to M&M ! One of the lifters is an old Johnson Tappet and the other 11 are Standerdyne. They will interchange.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First NHRA & IHRA 289 automatic Superstock Mustang in the TENS 06-99 First SS/MA in the TENS 04-03 IHRA division 5 Superstock Champion Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 The Barry of BarrysGrrl Quote #1: "I never met a magazine mechanic I liked." Alex, how does that work? Are the internal designs such that you get the same valve lift even though the lifters appear to be different lengths?
