Hi Mike,I had this very same question, and Sigtauenus (Sam) here on M&M set me straight. Here's what he told me: "...Bottom line, the structure is identical between 65 and 70. The major difference is a change that occurs in mid 68 regarding where the latch opening is in the side of the flip down seat, and minor differences in the trim molding and how the flip down seat rests against the floor in the up position. " He says he's going to be putting together a webpage full of pictures; I'm sure he'll let us all know when it's up. Hope that helps. And welcome to M&M!

I think pre-69's only used one latch and the 69/70 folddowns use two latches.------------------ 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 H-code 1970 Fastback 2003 Torch Red Mustang

I think its 65/66 that uses one latch only..I have both a 68 (early car) and a 69SCJ here and the decks are the same except the 69 has reinforcing plates/clips around the latch holes on the deck. They wrap around and are screwed on.. At some point in 68 they stopped putting the chrome trim at the very back where the trap door latches. They just wrapped the carpet around.. My 68 uses the dog leg bumpers and the SCJ has the round ones. Cory ------------------ 68 Fastback 427MR 4 spd.Deluxe interior,8000 tach,140 speedo,am/fm,tilt.
