Does anyone know if the standart antenna would fit on the rear quarter panel as on the Shelby of 67/8? Even better is there a retractable antenna for this location?------------------ Randy F. 67 Convertible 289 http://mustang.crystal-ga.com

You'll have to pay attention to the angle of the plane on the quarter where you are planning to install it, some antenna types have angled bases, some are flat. There are many power antenna kits available aftermarket.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '05 Mercury Sable LS 3.0L DOHC 24V Duratech V6

Had one in my 65 GT that came out of a Nissan Maxima. It worked fine, until 9/11, when I put the FLAG on it. It functions now as a regular antenna. Have another one, out of a VW of some sort. With the GT had a black plastic power window switch in the glove cmpt. Going to use it in the 68.Forgot. Was able to use the original antenna mount which made it hard to detect.
