Ok, my mechanic has installed the adjustable rocker arms as well as new pushrods (recommended by Comp Cams). Before he installed the Rocker arms, the car ran great other than the lifters rattling. He then said once he installed the rocker arms and adjusted the lash so that the lifters do not rattle, the car runs like crap. He backs off on the rocker arm/pushrod lash and it runs great, but once he adjusts to take out the rattle, it runs like crap again.

Any ideas from you guys? Its a 351 cleveland (1973) with a slightly over-sized Comp Cam (CL32-242-4 is the part number I think). They are stock length pushrods as well. Could it be the vacuum advance on the distributor? I also have pertronix II electronic iginition installed.

I remember when I first bought the car, it would not run with the vacuum advance hooked up, but ran and started great with the vacuum advance unhooked.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. My mechanic said they only messed with it an hour or so and would take the time to set it up on Tuesday after the holiday. I just do not know where to go from here.

Thanks,

Scott

BTW, Ddenton, which wiring harness did you need again? I am going out to the salvage yard again this next week and will check the cars myself. The yardman said he is sure he has one but not sure where it is out there hehe.
