I use Grundy Insurance. I have my 69 Sportroof insured for 20K for 160.00 a year. Never had a claim (knock on wood). I think both companies are about the same.

We have Haggerty's Insurance on both of our stangs. Pay $289.00 for a year of full coverage on both cars. This also includes the towing package where they send out a flat bed wrecker for you. The '65 is set at $20K and the '66 is set at $16K.

Had a friend with a '69 Mach 1 that had an engine fire. Haggerty's had a check to him in 10 days. He was also able to take his car to the shop of his choice. Never had any problems with Haggerty's.

I have had them for two years now. Haven't made any claims, but did use thier roadside service when the fuel pump went out on my 65. I called them and 45 min. latter a flat bed showed up and took us home at no charge to us. Haggerty pays the first $50 and the bill came to $38. They get two thumbs up from me!!

Tom G,
Did they have any surcharges or other "problems" with you drag racing your car from time-to-time?

Haggerty on both the Mach and Falcon and costs $200 and some dollars a year. The Mach is valued at $25K and the Falcon for $10K. I used their roadside service once and they had a check in the mail for me in a matter of days.

Been using them for around 3 yrs. now.

I've been looking for a new insurance company. A quick qusetion, are these companies for "show" cars only or will they insure a dailey driver (66' mustang)? If so, does anyone have number to contact them at?

Do these companies put limits on your annual mileage?

Haggerty's is for show cars but also one's you like to drive for fun. That is one of the stipulations with Haggerty's and that is that this is not your daily driver, no mileage stipulation. The way they verify is you have to show them proof of another insured vehicle. No claims but were happy with there customer service.

You can visit there website or call 800-922-4050

i have Haggerty since 97. i am very pleased with them.
i looked into Grundy cause they gave me a much lower Quote. the difference is, Grundy does not offer medical/injury insurance like a regular policy if you are hurt in an accident.

I've had Hagerty for a couple years now on my '67. Never had a claim. Never exceeded the mileage limit since she is a weekend driver.

Costs me $170/yr. This was cheaper than the other insurance companies I checked out- two regular insurance companies wanted arm, leg and half a torso; a third said no thanks. They said the big block was the reason.

Regarding Hagerty's or Grundy's insurance:

What about you guys who race your cars?

Do any of you fellas tell them about taking your car to the track "now & then".... Do they seem to have an issue with that or not?

My insurance guy told was, "We'll insure your race car only while the key is off....If the engine is running, the insurance is exempt."

Thanks for the imput!

Ryan

After checking all companies, I went with Haggerty.

Never made claim but they send a nice newsletter.
