My total inability to get Midland boosters rebuilt locally is getting old really fast I pop over to LA every now and again. Does anyone know a rebuilder there I could set up a working relationship with? It needs to be someone who repairs the cores I provide, not someone who trades cores + cash for rebuilt units. Even better would be if anyone knows anyone, anywhere in the world, who sells rebuild kits for Midlands. Thanks as always, Simon

I did a Google search for "Midland booster" and found this info at hemmings.comBRAKE booster rebuilds: 1964-90, $95; 1957-64, $115; Midland, $105. Call "Booster" Dewey, 503-238-8882, OR.

Thanks for the tip! I ran a search of my own, and Dewey seems to have a good reputation all round. And a website too ... http://home.teleport.com/~umpqua Oregon ... hmmm.

I?ve heard good things about Dewy but they have to update that site. I?ve been looking for kits or parts for a while but it looks like these guys that rebuild these booster units keep a tight lip as to where they get their parts. ------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC Bla-Bla-Bla 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55

How about Karp's in Upland, CA? http://www.resleeve.com/index.htm Anyone familiar with their work? I don't understand the Midland types they specify on their site, but one of the photos is exactly like the one on early Stangs.

Simon, You may want to call Scooter Patrick in Montclair. His number is 909-982-2866. If Scooter doesn't do them, he will recommend a shop. BTW Scooter used to run the old CanAm series. ------------------ SkinnyMan Tupelo, MS Thank you, Thank you very much!

How bout the simple local parts store? I bought my rebuilt booster and M/C from Autozone for $120 together. Sure beats waiting for someone to rebuild it and paying for shipping.------------------ 1970 Grabber Blue Mach 1 H-code 1970 Fastback 2003 Torch Red Mustang
