I want to put a 3g alternator in my 68 Mustang but I would like to keep the single "V" belt pulley set up.
I wonder if anyone has tried to drive one of these high output alternators with the original "V" belts?

Why not one of these, they use the original v-belt

if not, then you might be able just to switch the pulley out or take it to an alternator repair shop and have them do it for you... David F.

I don't think you can get those at a salvage yard for 40 bucks!
