If you've got a v8 car you shouldn't need the spindles, just the mounting bracket. At least that's what my old dusty memory is telling me. Scott

If I remember correctly, you take off your drum and drum brake backing plate. You install the disc brake dust shield, the caliper mounting bracket, then the rotor. Next is the caliper, 65/66 calipers use one size hose, 67 uses a different one. Both styles will hook up to your stock steel lines. Install a disc brake master cylinder and proportioning valve. Scott

yep, 64 1/2-67 used the 4 piston kelsey hayes 4 piston disc brakes, they fit on the original drum brake spindles. 68 and up used a specific disc brake spindle. All you have to do is bolt on the backing plate and calipers and discs and change the brake lines as well as the master cylinder/proportioning valve or install an adjustable one as I did. So there is no need to install different spindles unless you are going to go the 68-up or granada front disc brakes. The only downfall is the 64 1/2 -67 brake rotors, calipers, pads are quite a bit more expensive than the 68 and up units. I got my cores in a pick-your-part junk yard for around 20 bucks. Falcons, fairlaines, cougars all used the same parts so you can look around to get them. All you need is the backing plates and you can buy all the rest of the stuff at most auto parts stores. my 67 vert http://htwheelz.smugmug.com
