ok on a 66 was there a plastic trim piece that goes on the inside length of the a-pillar between the windshield and the door windows?

i cant find one in the pile of parts that were taken off about 20 years ago and havent seen them for sale in any catalogs, but it seems like something should go there.

thanks stangers

On 65, 66 and some 67 / 68 the A pillar is plain metal painted to coordinate with the interior of the car. There should be about a 3" x 1/2" metal retainer where the headliner stops, held in place with one phillips screw in the very upper center of the pillar.

Some 67 / 68 used padded vinyl inserts on the pillar.

69 started with all body styles getting a rigid plastic trim piece.
