Has anyone used any of the new WaterBased Paints on their car,, such as AutoAir.. I'm considering using their product on my new paint job..I've read a couple of articles,, and they sound amazing.. Both the Schucks/Checker Funny Cars are painted with WB Paint.. Here's a link to an article where they painted a Cycle Gas Tank.. http://www.customrodderweb.com/tech/0403cr_paint/ No Reducers or harmful chemicals.. Claims you don't even need to use primer & any of todays Clear Coates can be applied over it.. Because their texture is more pourous.. Colors are suppose to have greater depth,, and effects such as chameleons,, pearls,, & transparents work that much better.. This link takes you to where they sell all the AutoAir Products.. http://www.airbrush-depot.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=autoairhome.bbx ------------------ Don 6T6 Fastback 331 STROKER, T-5 Royal Blue Metallic w/SoonToBeNewAndImprovedFlames http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/BigD.html First Time out.. 13.384 sec @ 103.388 mph

Hey Don - I think I missed the part about why you had to repaint your car ? I saw in another post that you crunched your fenders ??

Geeze,, I forgot I'd posted this.. YEP.. Unloading 6T6 off the trailer and caught the front fender well lips with my tires.. Ripped the fenders out and cracked the paint.. It's being fixed as we speak.. I've been hearing and reading about the Water Based Paints and it sounds better all the time.. I think it's going to revolutionize the custom auto painting.. And it's better for you,, the environment and especially the POCKETBOOK.. If you're interested,, go to the site I've linked below.. Scroll down their menu and click on CUSTOM BLENDS,, How To.. and read about it.. It's really simple & COOL.. http://www.airbrush-depot.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=autoairhome.bbx

Yep.. This past year has been a dandy.. As much as I like to tell stories and after the Nashville fiasco,, I kind of kept the damages to 6T6 to myself..But,, it's almost a blessing as he will get all the little nicks and stratches and dings taken our & New And IMPROVED FLAMES.. I just ordered some of the Water Based Metallic & Transparent Paints so I can practice with them and see if they are really as good as they claim.. I also have some House of Color Samples Jerry sent me that I want to take a look at.. With my new Airbrushes,, there isn't an area in my HOBBIT HOME that is safe.. Let's see,, toilet seat and cover,, Kitchen Stove Exhaust Hood,, Fridge,, McShop Walls.. I'll have pictures.. ------------------ Don 6T6 Fastback 331 STROKER, T-5 Royal Blue Metallic w/SoonToBeNewAndImprovedFlames http://mustangsandmore.50megs.com/MembersPics/BigD.html First Time out.. 13.384 sec @ 103.388 mph

Don, thats very cool that your trying out the new paints. Sorry about you having to repaint your 66. It was awesome already, at the same time I can't wait to see what you do next. For those that haven't seen Don's work in person. Let me just say it's a true work of art. Your going to be on your own show soon.
