What are the odds of me being able to remove a bunch of pinstripe tape from my car? It has been repainted - I don't know when but not too recently - and then they put a bunch of very fine pinstripes on it. Some of the ends are curling up a bit etc. I would like to totally remove it, but am worried that the goo from under the tape will be tough to get off, or that some paint will come off if I just pull on it. Do I use a hairdryer? What would you suggest for removing the glue residue? Thanks as always, Gregg ------------------ 68 coupe red on black 289 flowtech ceramic headers hedman X pipe flowmaster 2 chambers edelbrock 4 brl and intake Cragar SS with BFG t/a and a working 8 track for cruising days! http://pub44.bravenet.com/photocenter/album.php?img=69607&usernum=3716050980

Ya hey, since some of the ends are already starting to curl your job shouldn't be too hard. Hair drier to warm the adhesive, and gentle pulling should do it. Follow up with 'Grease and Wax Remover' available from any auto parts store. The tape shouldn't have a stronger bite on the paint than the paint does on the body. If pulling the tape pulls off paint, the paint was going to come off anyway. You may find a ghost outline of your tape where the paint has faded around it, so even after the tape is gone the pattern may still be there. Some of the tape will want to split and break, to avoid this try pulling straight away from the body (like a 90 degree angle), instead of pulling the tape longways back across itself. Scott
