I tried searching the archives but had no luck. What I'm looking at is a 66 drivers side upper control arm.
Is there a trick to getting a wrench on the control arm mounting bolt?
I'm able to get one on all the others no problem, but this one has no room to get a wrench in. Car is on jackstands.

Tight, huh? Do you need to remove an exhaust manifold/header?

No, The rear bolt is loose and I'm trying to tighten it. But the bolt just spins and I can't fit a wrench on the bolt head to hold it.

Maybe you can jam a prybar or screwdriver in there to wedge it. As it starts to tighten it should lock onto the shaft and stop turning.
If you raise the control arm at the ball joint it might give you more clearance.

Good point. If I take the wheel off and place the floor jack under the lower, I might be able to jack it up enough to get a wrench to clear. Thanks
