I am ready to purchase a new drive shaft. I have read pros and cons to aluminum. I need a custom cut so I am seeking advice on: stock metal vs. aluminum and where in the US I can get a fair shake on a custom cut and balance. In AZ, Mesa driveline wants $480.00 for a custom aluminum. Is that the norm???? I do have the stock piece still. Thanks. (67 AOD with 351w approx 350-400HP. That's about the going retail price including u-joints and a front yoke. No need for aluminum in a street car really. Now if you want to get slick, go to a bone yard and get a aluminum Aerostar drive shaft for $30-$40 and have it shortened for another $25. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,'04 &'05 First SS/MA in the TENS!
