Can someone tell me the length of the c6 trans dipstick for a 67/70 FE (390/428)?
Specifically I'm working on a 68 with 428CJ but I think they would all be the same between the big block c6's.
I've got a few different tubes and sticks. I think the original tube was yellow.
Thanks,
Scott

I have one sitting on my workshop floor at the moment and the tube is, indeed, yellow. I'll measure the stick Monday of no one else chimes in by then.

I measured one from an FE and one from a 351C and they both came in at or just under 19.5 inches from the tip to the start of the cup thingy assembly at the other end. It was hard to be precise with the FE one 'cos it has a serious kink in it, but I think they're supposed to be the same.
I can check one from a 429 tomorrow if you need.
BTW, does your FE dipstick - or should I say, do any of your C6 dipsticks - have major kinks in them by design? The 351C stick was perfectly straight.

No need for further measurements, Thanks!

Yes, the sticks have a zig-zag bend in them, not sure why.

I just read in another forum that the 70s were longer but they didn?t give any lengths.
