Hi Guys, well I have finally got my parts to re-gear the axle, I am staying with the 8" but got a couple of upgrades to make it live a little longer. I went for the Currie Alum 8 carrier, and pinion support, AuburnGear Pro Series LSD, 3.80 ratio R&P, and also a set of Moser shafts. Hope to have it all fitted next week. I am ment to be at the strip on the 19th of this month, weather premitting.

Now those are some good looking parts. Congratulations and have fun racing. That ought to make a difference in performance going to 3:80 gears. Are there a lot of drag strips in the UK? and what kinds of cars drag race? Are there a lot of american cars built for racing over there?Ernie ------------------ Red Fire Clearcoat 65 Fastback, 408W. Hi Guys, thanks for the comments, I am hoping to have the diff built by Thursday this week, and have it fitted for the weekend, so if the snow has melted I intend to take it for a run over the weekend. We have 3, 1/4 mile drag strips over here and a few temporary 1/8 mile strips, (air strips mainly) we could do with a few more. We do have quite a few American cars over here on the strip, and a lot of home grown ones. I run in the Street Racers Series. Some of them a fairly quick.

Nice hardware! I'm used to looking at 9 inch rears, so that ring and pinion looks 'cute' Seriously, that looks like rugged stuff.Don't feel bad, a while ago my friend showed me the 7.25" ring and pinion for his IROC and I almost died laughing! ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip
