found an intake on ebay that says its for a 351c 4v application, guy says the part number is F351. What intake is this??? Ive looked on the edelbrock page and at summit racing and cant find a matching number unless this is a victor style intake, but it looks nothing like a victor.

The F351-4V was sort of like the precursor to the Performer manifolds. Basically same design with a different name.

So this intake will perform as well as a performer? (low RPM power range)

Yes, or as bad as a Performer to be more accurate. Edelbrocks make good intakes, but they reduce the port size in their Cleveland intakes which sharpens low end response at the expense of top end power. I noticed your signature says you have a 351C 2v. Be aware that there are two 351C intake types, one for the 2V and one for the 4V.

In my post above I assumed you meant the F351-4V which is supposed to be ok, the 2V Performer has a reputation as a pretty crappy intake.

Yes currently my motor is a 2v but this winter it is getting built up and am swithing to DOAE close chambered 4v heads. Every time i ask about a certain intake people swear the performer is better then the Torker and the Xcellerator and the other way around so ive decided to go with the rpm range i want and the performer is supposed to be good for low end. If you have some experience with what intake is best for those lower rpms it would be very helpful.

Believe it or not, I think the factory manifolds are pretty decent. I have a D0AE-9424-L manifold that's going on my Mach. The only downside is the weight of the cast iron. If I were buying a new manifold, it would probably be the Blue Thunder. If you are keeping your gears conservative like I am with my 3.25s, you want a dual plane manifold.

I've run the Torker for a long time. They really need low gears and a 4 speed or loose convertor for best results.

What about the CHI 4150 intakes?
http://www.chiheads.com/heads.html
little steep price at $460, But the quality that they've shown with there heads makes me believe that their intake for the 4v heads would work well. Anyone have any experience with this intake. Oh and thanks for that link steve!
