If it is a disc brake car they will be C8**,as its a new spindle for the new single piston calipers.Drum brakes would probably still use the C7.------------------ 68 Fastback 427MR 4 spd.Owned since 77.Deluxe interior,8000 tach,140 speedo,am/fm,tilt.

Probably a J-code car should have disc brakes.

I took another look at mine, and you're right, its C8OA, not C8OE as I orignally posted. I'm not sure why both mine have a "C" on the end and one of yours has an "A". These are engineering numbers, not inventory part numbers. Could be they are interchangeable. Scott

How many boltholes are there for the backing plate? I guess you just have some bare spindles, right?------------------ Ed S. 68 S-code FB GT 4spd(now C6)/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code(now 289) Cp Sprint"B" C4/3L00-9" PDB PS AC Bla-Bla-Bla 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3L55

3 holes for backing plate I've run them on the street with no backing plates. I have the two hard parts, the spindles and the caliper brackets. rotors, calipers, bearings are usually available locally. Scott
