will a 3g 130amp alternator from a 94-95 mustang fit in a 66 coupe i know they sell kits for $170, but if i buy the alternator alone from ebay or a junkyard for cheap how will i hook it up. will i need to change pulleys.
i have a 60amp alternator in my car now and i think its starting to crap out. and i want to put a sound system and xenon lights in the car too. so i figure the alternator will be worth the money.

I installed a 3G Alt in my 1982 F100 pickup last fall and it still works great. I replaced my 60 amp one with it. The only thing I had to do was grind a little bit off of my adjusting mount. Just do a search on the net on how to install or wire in a 3G alt. It is a couple hour job, really easy and you can eliminate a lot of your wiring. You can use your pulley off of your 60 amp unit. Hope that helped.
