I have my doubts if it will clear. I have an edelbrock intake on my 408 (351W bored and Stroked, with a 3" cowl Hood and a 2" high air cleaner, It barely clears, so I am guessing the stock hood will not. BUT, if you can get the measurements of the intake, carb and aircleaner, compare it to what you have now. Then make a block of foam or something light the right thickness. Then put duct tape folded over on itself, sticky side out on top of the block. Set the piece on your current aircleaner, Tape side UP, close the hood. Open the hood and see if the tape stuck to your hood or not. Might want to add an extra 1/2" or so to the measurements for extra clearance.

You will have no problems with a performer rpm 302 intake BUT you will need a dropped base air cleaner. I have a 650DP, 302 victorJr, an NOS bigshot plate and a 14x3 moroso air filter under the stock hood of my 65 2+2.

Scoop, you could put a tunnel ram under your hood and still have room.
