Hi. I'm repainting my engine bay, engine and all in my '69 coupe and I am wondering if the power steering bracket stays bare(aluminum) or needs to be painted. If so, what color should it be. Thanks, Rino.

The aluminum mounting bracket should be left natural aluminum. The attaching bracket to the water pump is black. The pump housing has a metallic teal green/blue color, the front of the pump where the pulley attaches is natural (cast iron grey). The pulley is black.

You can use this stuff from Eastwood if you?re worried about preserving the finish. It comes in gloss and satin.. http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=415&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=diamond
