My 68 does not have the emblems on the fenders. Was that an option? Also, how do you replace the letters on the trunk? Mines a Coupe if that matters.------------------ I'm running what I got till I break it, then I upgrade.:)

As far as I know all mustang came with the regular badges on the front fenders and the lettering on the trunk and hood, of course I may be wrong as far as the trunk lettering there are two ways that I know of, one is with the letters that pop in threw the excisting holes if a new trunk you may have to drill them the other is with stick on, I recommend the ones that use the holes in the trunk or drill them , I used my old trunk to make a template to drill the new one for themAs far as badging if the 67 and 68 are the same then there should be a running horse with 289 above it and I think theres a one piece lettering of mustang there too

Thanks for the info, my hood dont have Ford on it either, but the trunk are the ones that pop in. Will check for holes on the fender and hood that might have been filled, but I dont think the car was ever crashed. Thanks again for your time and info. I wouldn't look too long and hard for letter holes in the hood. Two days ago, I would have said 68s didn't have FORD on the hood like 67s. I just learned in another thread though that Sam's did! Live 'n' learn

Thanks Fastback68, I am probaly going fiberglass hood with a nice Scoop on it down the road, so that dont really matter. I did find the holes for the badges covered up, last guy must not have liked them on the car. Anyway, settled a curiosity that I had, thanks alot guys, cant wait till I can help someone from experience. Not that I want something to break. How prone are the stick on letters to falling off?I've been thinking about putting them on vice drilling holes next time to keep the lip of the trunk lid from rusting out.

Well, here in the desert, stuff melts. I'm thinking the adhesive would after awhile, so I'm going with the pop-in's. Question, how do I remove the old ones, and on the new ones, do they come all ready to go?(talking about the pop-in style.)
