Does anyone have pics of the emergency brake parts installed on a lincoln versaille rear end? I am getting ready to do mine and I'm not sure how they go together. My email is [email protected] Thanks, Ernie------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback 351W, Hooker Super Comps,4 Speed Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End [email protected] http://photo.starblvd.net/Ekbeanctr

It's a good start, thanks for sending it. What I really need is how the cables are run to the emergency brakes. Do both sides pull forward and are both brackets pointing up when all assembled? ------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback 351W, Hooker Super Comps,4 Speed Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End [email protected] http://photo.starblvd.net/Ekbeanctr

Both cables pull forward. I am not sure how to describe the positioning of the cable anchor bracket (attached by the u-bolts?). There is a left and right bracket. I can have an illustration burned Monday and post it here if you need it. Does this help any?

Here you go (finally). If you will look at detail C, this will be the mounting bracket that holds the rear cable(s) steady. The cable has two nubs/stops (for lack of better word) to locate it in the bracket and actuate the release lever. I think what you are going to find is the neccessity of retaining the rear cables off the LINCOLN and splicing them into your present cables (nub can be added with crimping tool) and connecting both with the bracket (2A790) shown in detail G. You can see an explosion of the above illustration -here- Hope this helps... Gary

Ernie, First off...that is one SPANKIN ride you have there. I installed the Versailles axle in my '67 coupe. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the factory ebrake mounting brackets between the '67 and '65, but I had to cut my factory mounts off because the '67 repop ebrake cable would not reach the Versailles caliper when the cable was mounted to the factory location. I ended up cutting off the factory mounts and manufactured my own and weld them in place. They work and look good (I think). I'll take some pics and send them to you this weekend.Cheers, Brian
