I installed a new set of cluster gauges so now I see a temp and oil pressure (my stock guages don't work). My temp at idle after about 15 minutes is 130 degrees. After and while driving it goes to 190. Is that way out of wack for a mostly stock 289?Also my oil pressure is at 50. Is that hi/low? ------------------ Jeremy '68 Coupe M&M Member #685 MCA Member #49134 Help make the world a better place, drive a Ford and race a slot car!

Sounds good to me on both. The 190 is slightly warm, but if you have no overheating problems I wouldn't lose sleep over it. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 Open '70 Mustang Convertible 250 I6/3 speed/2.79 Open '72 Mustang Sprint Hardtop 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Loc '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip

Well, we'll see what the trip to Nashville does to it. The only time it went over 190 was when I stopped and turn the car off it went to 210 but it didn't cause an overflow. Go figure.

Sounds almost identical to my 289, except with a Failsafe T-stat, my 289 hardly ever gets above 180. The oil pressure sounds good too, except mine goes to about 60 while I'm driving, or if I race the engine. Sounds like it's good compared to mine.
