Hey all. I just got some nice 6x9s and I have everything ready to put them in but ofcouse they don't fit perfect in the frame under the package tray. How did everyone else put them in. Did you have to make some cuts in the metal frame? Any pictures would help a great deal as well. The car is a '66 mustang coupe. Thanks in advance. Richard. ------------------ rmousir [email protected]

It real easy to work with the speakers if you take out the back seat and work inside the car rather than try to work thru the trunk. I hung mine from underneath, put screws down from the top and put the washers and nuts on from underside. This gives you a flush mount with plenty of options on how you want to do the package tray. You could cover it in speaker cloth, you could drill it in a nice grill pattern, you could cut oval holes in it and attach your speaker grills on top. Run the wires thru the sill plate, not under the carpet.------------------ MCA Certified Judge, 1965-1966 66 GT coupe A code, Silver Frost 65 coupe modified - the White Knight 66 convert being restored 95 GT convertible/Cobra clone - black with white leather

I installed 6x9's in my '67 by dropping them n from the package tray. The factory hole accomodated the bottom part of my Infinity Kappa's fine.Brian
