What is the coldest plug I can run in my 429 I been told to get the cloder plugs to help get rid of some detonation issues.

Usually one heat range colder than stock will do it. Too cold of a plug and you risk cold fouling. Might try to see why exactly she is pinging, vacuum adavance, timing, etc.
