While the motor is out and still waiting for it. I went and pulled my heater box out and going to replace the heater core and foam seals. It's alittle rusted in there, so I'll clean it up and maybe paint it alittle too. The hardest part was getting the darn glove box insert out of the way. Is there a secret to that ?------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

The cardboard box has lines scored in the ends so it will fold sort of like an accordian. Keep in mind, yours may be old and stiff or brittle and difficult to fold or collapse.------------------ MCA Certified Judge, 1965-1966 66 GT coupe A code, Silver Frost 65 coupe modified - the White Knight 66 convert being restored 95 GT convertible/Cobra clone - black with white leather

well i rescently painted my pash and the glove box was out so i ordered a new one. i had to put it in with the heater box there . i actully put it under the dashby the shifter pushed it up and slid it over. i dont recommend folding it bc then it will be kinda floppy. thats what happend to the one i had before and so i had to get a new one.------------------ 1966 mustang coupe 200ci 3 speed tranny msd 6a ignition, blaster 2 coil, 2 inch exhaust to a glass pac, stock rear,I have the single out header not on yet though, and i have the parts for the cold air intake (homemade). white w/ black interior will eventully have (after years of great prosperity) a 67-69 fastbask (aka dream car)

Thanks for the tip, with the heater box out it won't be hard to get the new one in without folding it. ------------------ SCOOP oddly obsessed with big scoops on little Mustangs 65 coupe,351w,C4,Big Boss 429 hood scoop,8" 3.40 TracLoc. My Pics

BUT, with the glove box in, the heater box will be an SOB to get in place. If I remember right it was a real pain in the ass to do. ------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback 351W, Hooker Super Comps,4 Speed Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End [email protected] http://photo.starblvd.net/Ekbeanctr

DARN right it is, a pain in the back, neck, shoulders and rear too.
I got it all sanded and painted all the metal parts both inside and out.The blower motor has never looked better. The inner flaps were real rusted does that mean theres a leak somewhere ? I put all new seals in and a new core too. I lubed everything real good. Adjusted the cables and hooked the defroster tubes up right. Getting that darn box back in was not a lot of fun. I hope it works as good as it looks.
