I have a 4100 and the secondary won't open. It is free when the car isn't running but as soon as I start the car, the linkage becomes rock hard and won't open, even if I manually try to force it. I shut the engine off and it moves freely again. I ran it down the road with all it had and the secondaries still didn't open. With the lid of the carb off, I can operate the secondary by creating vacuum myself but when I start the car, there is no moving it. I also know that there is no hole in the diaphram. What can I do? Thanks,-hawkman

Welcome to M&M ! You have a problem with the choke linkage interfering. Look it (the linkage) over closely while it is running. If all else is operating fine, that could be the only reason they do not open.------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member and licensed Superstock driver MCA member# 53321 NHRA and IHRA SS/LA & SS/MA National Record Holder '00,'01,'02,'03,& '04 First SS/MA in the TENS!
