Can anyone recommend a good place to get a steering box rebuilt for a reasonable price?

this may sound stupid, how does the box disconnect from the steering column. (or doesn't it)

It doesn't disconnect, The whole unit slides out the bottom after you remove the steering wheel and loosen the steering column. It is possible to remove it with the motor in the car, but it's a real B****. You have to jack up the motor and shove it to one side. A lot easier when motor is out. AND I would also highly recommend a Flaming River Box, Steers SO MUCH BETTER!!! ------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback 351W, Hooker Super Comps,4 Speed Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End [email protected] http://photo.starblvd.net/Ekbeanctr
