95 lightning Journeyman Posts: 15 From: California, U.S.A. Registered: Mar 2004	posted 03-02-2004 01:41 AM Hi!...I have a 351W in a 1966 Mustang with a T-5 5 speed with stock clutch linkage. I bought Hooker super comp. conversion headers and they would NOT work with the stock linkage.(the z-bar fit,just would'nt move)I have shorty's on now and I'm losing lots of power-even with 2.5 exhaust and Flowmasters.I say modify the headers-NOT the linkage, for safety reasons. By the way,Bruce Couture at Modern Drivelines said a cable will not work with the Hooker headers,so that's not an option. IP: Logged
