Ok, I got the carpet kit for the 66 coupe. Someone in an earlier post had mentioned heavy duty foil. Any idea where to get it? and how thick it is? BTW, I got the 80/20 carpet because I was told that that was the good stuff, correct?

Sorry for the late reply Steve, Been a busy day. By "dynamat", do you mean the brand name of the carpet? or the underlay. I'm familiar with needing to get the rubber based sound deadener, but some one had mentioned heavy duty foil over the tranny and at the toe boards to reduce heat.

Mike maybe you mean the foil backed insulation, I've read it helps with heat better. I used alittle on my car. It's worked great both for noise and heat.I just went to a local fabric warehouse they had it.

Cool! Thanks Ron. You say you picked it up at a fabric warehouse?

Yeah we have a large warehouse type fabric outlet here in town. They carry all kinds of stuff. You can also get something like it from Summit Racing too.
